The annual consumption of vacuum aluminized paper in North America is 120000 tons; The annual consumption of vacuum aluminized paper in Europe is 90000 tons. Over the past decade, the growth rate of vacuum aluminized paper in North America and Europe has reached more than 6%. Therefore, the rapid development of vacuum aluminized paper in the Asia Pacific region is the general trend and the prospect is optimistic

II. The prominence of vacuum aluminized paper in packaging materials

vacuum aluminized paper has incomparable advantages over aluminum foil composite paper, which are embodied as follows:

1 Cost: the cost of aluminum plating is lower than that of aluminum foil lamination. It mainly depends on reducing the thickness of the metal layer, improving the speed of the production line, improving the design and material management to achieve the purpose of reducing costs. Firstly, the thickness of aluminum layer of aluminized paper is only 0.025um ~ 0.035um, which is 1/200 ~ 1/300 of aluminum used in aluminum foil composite paper, that is, the amount of aluminum used is small; Secondly, it is suitable for high-speed printing, which is about 200 packs/minute higher than the cigarette label made of aluminum foil composite paper; Again, PET film can be used repeatedly for 6 ~ 8 times. Therefore, the cost of vacuum aluminized paper can be saved by 10% compared with aluminum foil paper

2. Environmental protection and hygiene: aluminum foil gold and silver paperboard, accelerating the quality change, effectiveness change and power change of the new material industry. Although PET composite paperboard has become a high-end packaging material with good decorative performance and anti-counterfeiting performance, which has also been widely used in China's aviation and aviation 20% point to complete the sky field, they are non environmental protection materials. Aluminum foil gold and silver cardboard is a composite product of aluminum foil and paper. The thickness of aluminum foil is 7um, so it can not be recycled as aluminum products or paper, and can not be completely burned, which is not conducive to environmental protection. PET composite paperboard is a composite product of aluminized film and paper. Because the plastic film cannot be degraded, it is not conducive to environmental protection. Aluminized paper is an environmentally friendly product because it uses the least aluminum material, so it is easy to process and recycle. 3. Anti counterfeiting: vacuum aluminized paper is easy to be processed by laser holography. The processed vacuum aluminized paper is called laser aluminized paper (laser paper for short). Laser aluminum spray paper is made by loading laser holographic patterns or text signals onto the surface of aluminum spray paper by molding. The laser brightness of laser aluminum spray paper is higher than that of ordinary laser packaging machine 'target'=_ Blank> the brightness of the transparent film is several times stronger, and the laser pattern cannot be erased. 4. Wide range of application: aluminized paper is widely used in the packaging of cigarettes, alcohol, food, drugs and daily necessities in daily life. The aluminized cardboard with white cardboard as the base material can be applied to the outer packaging of hard packed cigarettes and wine packaging boxes after printing. The aluminized paper made of imported water strength base paper can be applied to the label of glass bottles. The use of aluminized paper in food and drug packaging can solve the problem that powder drugs packaged with composite packaging film are not easy to pour out because of electrostatic attraction. Aluminized paper can be divided into low gram weight (less than 50g) and high gram weight (more than 300g). Low gram heavy aluminized paper not only has the flexibility of paper, but also has the air barrier performance of aluminum foil composite paper. It is mainly used for the packaging of candy, chocolate, gum and other products, but its application in cigarette lining paper is still in the experimental stage and has not yet entered the batch use; The transparent and colorful ink printed on high-G heavy-duty aluminized cardboard can show noble and rich metallic luster. It is mainly used for the outer packaging of moon cake boxes, cosmetics boxes, toothpaste boxes, wine boxes and gift boxes. It is exquisite and luxurious, and can enhance the value of products

III. process of vacuum aluminized paper

vacuum aluminized paper is at 1.33 × In the high vacuum above 102pa, the aluminum wire is heated to about 1400 ℃ by resistance, high frequency or electron beam, and then vaporized and attached to the paper base. According to its production process, it can be divided into direct method (paper aluminizing) and transfer method (film aluminizing). The direct method is to coat the paper surface in advance to improve the flatness and brightness of the paper surface, and then put the paper directly into the vacuum aluminizing machine for aluminizing. This method has high requirements for paper, and is suitable for coated paper, whiteboard, kraft linerboard and other paper types of 40 ~ 120g/m2. The transfer method takes pet and BOPP films as the transfer substrate, and after coating, coloring, aluminum spraying, compounding, stripping and other processes, the aluminum spraying molecular layer with metallic luster is transferred to the surface of paper or paperboard through adhesive action

The aluminized paper produced by the transfer method uses PET film to transfer and bond the aluminized layer with the paper. The aluminum film has good flatness, strong metallic luster and high smoothness, which is relatively suitable for packaging and printing. Compared with the direct method, the transfer method has the following characteristics: (1) the adhesion of aluminum layer is firm and reliable, and it can produce aluminized paper of paper or paperboard with any thickness (40 ~ 450g); (2) It can make full use of the flatness of PET film to make the metal luster on the paper brighter and the appearance quality greatly improved; (3) It can produce laser anti-counterfeiting vacuum aluminized cardboard with various patterns

IV. confusion of vacuum aluminized paper

although vacuum aluminized paper has many advantages that other flexible packaging materials cannot compare, it is still time to replace the original non environmental friendly materials with vacuum aluminized paper. There are mainly the following deficiencies:

first, compared with composite aluminum foil materials, vacuum aluminized paper has strict requirements in transportation and storage. During transportation, plastic film shall be used to protect the aluminized paper, and protective measures such as upper and lower boards and corner boards shall be taken to prevent the aluminized paper from wrinkles and warps, so as to avoid affecting its flatness due to stacking. In terms of storage, we should choose to store in a warehouse with constant temperature and humidity conditions. The room temperature should be controlled at about 25 ℃ and the humidity should reach 60% - 70%

second, vacuum aluminized paper has shortcomings in replacing pet coating materials, and there is still a gap in brightness. The brightness of aluminized paper mainly depends on the quality of paper base. It requires the paper to have super bright effect and good flatness, and the visual white reaches more than 96 ~ 116 degrees. The brightness of aluminized paper can reach the level of PET composite material. At present, Sweden's "igzond" cigarette white paperboard meets this requirement

third, the aluminum layer is too thin to adapt to some printing methods and complex processes. Although gravure printing is the most suitable printing method for aluminized paper, it cannot be fully applied to silk printing at present, because silk printing is mainly applicable to non absorbent materials (such as composite alloy, silver paperboard and PET film), and there are certain requirements for the thickness of materials, but the aluminum layer of vacuum aluminized paper is too thin, which is easy to scratch the materials and increase the scrap rate of prints

fourth, after using aluminized paper, the ink must be adjusted, otherwise the original hue cannot be maintained, and ink explosion is easy to occur, especially when the printing ink is dark. This is mainly due to the chemical reaction between the surface coating and the molecules in the ink. Therefore, pre coating treatment should be carried out before the printing of aluminized paper, such as water-based varnish priming before printing, and high toughness ink should be used as much as possible, such as UV ink, which is especially suitable for the printing of aluminized paper, and it is an environmental friendly ink. In addition, after using aluminized paper, its original equipment and processes must be comprehensively adjusted, which is a trial machine deployment process for printing plants with heavy daily production tasks
